Laying the carpet in the sun for a short while will make each section more pliable, easier to install... do not use a heat gun, hair dryer, etc...you risk melting the carpet...no sunshine ?...a really warm room will work

No padding is necessary but the thin, self adhesive, butyl sound deadener material is ok... excessive padding will cause a bulky fit...Use any good, high strength spray adhesive, such as 3M Super 80 or 90, Permitex, etc

Cut and trim as necessary using a sharp razor knife and scissors

Start by fitting the long section that covers the rear seat bottom support - i've always glued the piece in place then using the top of the frame as a guide cutting off the excess with a razor knife ...when the seat bottom is in place you will not see the top of the carpet section

Install the large center section next... the section is not split at the front, nearest the firewall that may make installation more difficult... some people do not use a console and prefer that i not cut the carpet...

if you need to, make a split in the center of the section do so from the firewall towards the shifter hole, this will allow the section to easily fold over the tunnel - the console will cover the split in the carpet

Fit the 4 narrow inner rocker sections around the seat rail frames and at the bottom of the kick panels, on each side

Fit the front floor sections...
Fit the rear floor sections & attach the kick panel covers

*Caution should be used when installing the 80/20 loop style carpet to prevent snags. If the carpet is snagged it will pull a straight line through the carpet face
